We're seeking a skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a travel position in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of recent acute care experience and hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and RRT.
As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to children in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment.
- Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
- Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in acute care.
- Hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and RRT.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and possess specific vision abilities.
Additional Certifications:
PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
