Job Opportunity

ACE Machine and Metal Fabrication Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Mill and Lathe Machinist to join our team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in programming and operating CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC code and be able to manually manipulate it.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing blueprints, measuring and marking materials, and setting up and operating CNC machines. They will also be responsible for calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors, verifying conformance of finish work pieces to specifications, and maintaining run charts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequences, and set up of parts.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachment accessories, and materials or machines such as mill lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth or angle of cut, and other factors which affect the machining process.
  • Start and observe machine operation and to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining, and edit machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verify conformance of finish work piece to specifications.
  • Set up and operate machine without aid or supervision (two weeks of training will be provided, so you can learn the machine particulars).
  • Able to edit and write simple CNC programs.
  • Familiar with statistical process control and maintain run charts.

Requirements:

Haas CNC Mill & Lathe experience required. Programming experience required. Must be able to manually manipulate CNC code. Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work without constant supervision.

Working Hours:

Position open for 1st shift--6AM to 2:30PM. Some overtime may be mandatory.
