Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IHC Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and managing daily activities of In-Home Care Clients and Caregivers. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of In-Home Care Clients and Caregivers
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and caregivers to ensure superior service delivery and responsiveness to client needs
  • Conduct client initial, 6-month, and yearly evaluations/home visits according to organizational policies and procedures
  • Manage and maintain client case files according to regulation and organization policy
  • Participate in external and internal auditing practices as requested
  • Assist in hiring decisions regarding open IHC caregiver positions
  • Schedule Caregivers and assign to clients
  • Supervise Caregivers assigned to clients
  • Complete performance evaluations for Caregivers according to organizational policy
  • Assist in marketing for caregivers as needed with Administrative Assistants
  • Maintain a standby name list for available substitute Caregivers
  • Resolve all complaints, incidents, and/or issues as directed by regional manager
  • Report, investigate, and complete required documentation for workplace accidents in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Report all unusual occurrences regarding client care to Regional Manager
  • Process disciplinary action with caregivers where appropriate in conjunction with regional manager and Human Resources
  • Process Caregivers electronic timekeeping for payroll in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with Electronic Visit Verification
  • Make emergency arrangements for clients, including notifying AAA Case Manager and others as required
  • Correspond and communicate as necessary with DSHS Case Management and clients
  • Participate in IHC phone rotation program in their region
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Satisfactorily pass criminal history and reference checks
  • Valid/current driver's license and auto insurance required if driving
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, WORD, etc.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required
  • Some college preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff
  • Experience providing services to the elderly and/or people with disabilities preferred

Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Ability to travel to different locations
  • Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and traveling

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking, to define problems
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule form
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, up to 20 feet or more
