We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Beebe Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety.
Responsibilities- Review consultation requests and consult with radiologists as necessary to ensure accurate and timely completion of diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare, calibrate, and document radiopharmaceuticals for administration by injection, ingestion, and inhalation methods.
- Perform in vivo and in vitro diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols.
- Maintain a daily activities log and ensure proper storage and ordering of supplies for the nuclear medicine area.
- Monitor and report supplies in shortage and special order items.
- Perform visual preventive safety inspections and conduct daily quality assurance tests on all equipment.
- Identify and communicate any problems to the immediate supervisor.
- Evaluate recorded images for technical quality and demonstrate anatomy under investigation through proper positioning.
- Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards and effectively operate radiation detection equipment.
- Recognize emergency situations, initiate code procedures, and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
- BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
- ARRT-N or CNMT Nuclear Medicine Technology certification
- Associates Degree in a related field
