Deli Clerk

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.

• Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized deli area, including proper storage and rotation of products.
• Assist with food preparation, including slicing meats and cheeses, and preparing deli items.
• Operate deli equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, and slicers, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain product quality, including checking expiration dates and reporting any issues to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads to effectively promote products and services.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, including proper temperature control and sanitation procedures.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
