Material Handling Specialist

This Material Handling Specialist role is a vital part of our Warehouse Operations team at Trivium Packaging. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods within our facility.
With a focus on maximizing productivity and minimizing costs, you will work closely with our Operations Team Leader and Production Planning Manager to optimize our material handling processes. This includes accurately servicing all production lines, packaging equipment, and packaging departments with materials and finished goods, as well as maintaining accurate quality inspection forms.
As a Material Handling Specialist, you will also be responsible for preparing all required documentation to maintain the highest quality finished product for our customers. This includes maintaining performance expectations with respect to key performance metrics and identifying opportunities to improve dock/warehouse operations.
Additionally, you will be expected to recognize and eliminate waste within the dock/warehouse area, adjust accordingly, and aid in developing action plans to drive continuous improvement. You will also maintain a safe and clean working environment for yourself, team members, and equipment through daily maintenance, 5S, and housekeeping activities.
This role requires a high level of physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds. You must be able to work all shifts, including 8 or 12-hour shifts, daylight, and off-shifts, as well as weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to join our team. If you have experience in high-volume manufacturing, warehousing, freight handling, and/or forklift operations, we encourage you to apply.
