Job Title: Critical Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Wellspring Nurse Source. This is a travel nursing opportunity in Auburn, Washington.

About the Job

This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in progressive care units, telemetry, or stepdown units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and be able to provide specialized, advanced care to patients who are recovering from critical conditions but require close monitoring and frequent assessment.

The job involves providing direct nursing care to patients in the PCU Stepdown unit, including monitoring and managing complex medical conditions such as post-surgical recovery, cardiac conditions, and respiratory distress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' conditions, implement and evaluate individualized care plans, and adjust care as needed to meet patients' evolving needs.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to medical protocols.
  • Monitor patients for signs of deterioration and respond quickly to medical emergencies, escalating care as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies, promoting patient independence and recovery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred for patients with cardiac conditions.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 per year, tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
