We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Classroom Security Paraprofessional to join our team at The Menta Education Group. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage classroom behaviors and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Report behavioral concerns to appropriate staff and implement behavioral program policies and data
- Provide general supervision of students and assist in the prevention and management of incidents of non-compliance and/or escalation in behavior
- Respond to emergency situations and provide interventions to students to assist in managing behaviors
- Think quickly, independently, and tactfully to address challenging situations
- Security or Juvenile Justice background is highly desirable
- Military Veterans are encouraged to apply
- Ability to operate tactfully under stress and flexibility to change in routines
- At least 23 years of age and able to work with high-risk special needs students
- Good driving record and willingness to drive student van is strongly preferred
