Key ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care, aligning with departmental requirements and professional standards. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapist will:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway integrity.
- Administer various respiratory therapies, such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient responses to therapies and communicate with providers as necessary.
- Support the transport of patients requiring ventilatory assistance.
- Act promptly in emergency situations to maintain airway and ventilation.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist.
- Completion of a Certificate or Associate Degree program.
- Certification as a Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
No travel is required for this position.
