As an Operating Room Technician, your role will significantly impact patient outcomes, ensuring that each individual leaves our facility in better health than when they arrived.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in circulating duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Preparing a sterile environment by ensuring all necessary supplies, medications, and equipment are readily available.
- Collaborating with the RN to conduct thorough counts of sponges, instruments, and other items during surgical procedures.
- Maintaining aseptic conditions throughout the surgical process.
- Responding to patient inquiries, collecting relevant information, and communicating effectively with healthcare providers.
- Conducting follow-up calls post-surgery to relay important information to patients.

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or a Licensed Practical Nurse qualification is required. Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Physical Requirements:
This role demands a full range of motion, including lifting and maneuvering patients, as well as manual dexterity. You should be prepared to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
