Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Marine Technician to join our team in Southern Louisiana. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on commercial marine vessels, utilizing diagnostic tools and adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing development and certification programs for new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including personal hand tools and specialty tools provided by the company
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Intermediate level of workshop-related experience required
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex engine issues with limited support from diagnostic tools
  • Larger, more complicated engine rebuilds and mentorship of junior technicians

A valid driver's license and 2 years of driving experience are required for this role. A 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations, is also necessary. Compensation and benefits include a base salary rate commensurate with experience, as well as additional benefits such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and Domestic Partners Coverage.
