Job Overview:

The Housekeeping Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations. This position requires adherence to high standards of service and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently implement the I-Serve standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workplace.
  • Report to the designated workstation punctually as per the attendance policy.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for service efficiency.

Departmental Duties:

  • Complete all assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and well-presented.
  • Timely report any maintenance issues in assigned areas.
  • Keep public areas clean and well-maintained.
  • Ensure safety by keeping corridors and stairways clear.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas and carts.
  • Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift.
  • Participate in meetings and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Promptly return lost and found items to the housekeeping manager.
  • Consistently uphold Welk Resorts' guest engagement service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of six months of relevant experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous.
  • Ability to utilize mobile devices for task management.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills with guests and team members are essential. Proficiency in English is required.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and resolve issues involving various factors in standardized situations. Flexibility and adaptability to change are important, along with the ability to foster positive working relationships.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving items of varying weights. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate to noisy, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions while performing duties.
