POSITION SUMMARY

Engage in routine custodial cleaning and maintenance activities as designated; address minor emergency repairs of equipment and facilities under supervision, while remaining alert to safety issues and concerns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/work experience is required. A valid Utah Driver License is essential. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is necessary. Previous custodial experience is preferred. Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening is mandatory.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Familiarity with custodial methods, materials, and equipment is beneficial, along with the ability to recognize the need for repairs. Must adhere to specific and general instructions; understand and follow standard safety practices regarding cleaning solutions. Capable of comprehending and executing verbal instructions and proficient in effective verbal and written communication. Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, interacting with the public with respect, integrity, courtesy, and kindness. Ability to perform physical labor and organize assigned tasks effectively.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Part-time position
  • 4 hours per night (5-9, M-F)
  • $13.65/hr

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role requires persistent physical exertion, including walking, standing, lifting, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, twisting, and other movements necessary for equipment use. Utilization of cleaning materials and equipment is expected under optimal shop standards for indoor tasks, with exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions for external duties, which may involve unpleasant elements such as dust, dirt, grease, heat, and cold. Routine lifting of up to 50 lbs is required. Irregular work hours may include extended shifts, weekends, early mornings, or late evenings based on scheduling needs.
