Position Overview:

At Raytheon Technologies, we are committed to safeguarding our nation and allies through advanced engineering and innovative solutions. Our cybersecurity division is in search of a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), also referred to as a Principal Specialist, to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and monitor compliance of information systems, ensuring adherence to security protocols and standards.
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports outlining corrective measures and preventive strategies.
  • Review and authorize configuration management requests within designated authority.
  • Perform both technical and administrative evaluations to enhance security measures.
  • Integrate and implement new cybersecurity processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Assist in the development, review, and revision of cybersecurity documentation and technical writing.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with three years of applicable experience.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or hardening.
  • Familiarity with compliance auditing and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with various computer technologies, including databases and operating systems.
  • Active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in classified environments within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Knowledge of information system security tools for vulnerability analysis and mitigation.
  • Understanding of government directives and compliance standards.
  • Experience in executing Assessment & Authorization processes.
  • Ability to provide technical security consultation in complex networked environments.
