Position Overview:
As a vital member of the housekeeping team, the Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest accommodations. This role is essential in providing a welcoming environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Report to the Housekeeping Office at the start of your shift, collect and sign out the necessary keys, and return them at the end of your shift. Ensure all assigned rooms and suites are cleaned and maintained daily, which includes tasks such as bed stripping, bathroom sanitation, vacuuming, dusting, checking room amenities, spot cleaning, and replenishing supplies.
- Reporting: Notify supervisors of any missing items from rooms and suites, as well as any maintenance issues that require attention. Maintain and care for all equipment utilized in your duties.
- Guest Safety: Uphold the safety and well-being of guests by being courteous and respectful to all individuals. Ensure that all doors remain closed during cleaning for security purposes. Promptly deliver any lost and found items to the Housekeeping office.
- Communication: Possess a strong command of the English language to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and vendors. Accurately report information and adhere to all safety protocols regarding physical tasks.
- Professionalism: Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth and development, maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Complete all projects and assignments with thoroughness and care.
- Team Collaboration: Understand and communicate the core values of StepStone Hospitality. Listen actively to others and convey important information in a timely manner. Work collaboratively to resolve any conflicts respectfully.
Requirements:
Equal Opportunity Employer. Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and perform physical tasks such as pushing, bending, and manual dexterity. Proficiency in hearing, writing, and reading is essential. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
A comprehensive understanding of all hotel departments and functions is preferred. A high school diploma is advantageous, along with relevant training and experience. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
