Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a wide range of speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify patients' communication and swallowing needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to improve patients' communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida.
  • Experience working with patients with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This position is located in the Audiology and Speech Pathology Service at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and may be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
