Job Description

Overview

At Research Medical Center, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of respiratory therapy. As a Certified Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by physicians, such as medical gas administration and aerosol therapy
  • Operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices
  • Providing patient education and monitoring equipment and patient response to therapy
  • Completing documentation of in-patient and departmental records, and maintaining safety and infection control practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
  • A current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
  • NBRC CRT certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • NRP certification within 6 months of hire
  • One year of recent clinical experience preferred
