Position Summary
Leidos is seeking a qualified Linux Server Systems Administrator to support critical operations. This role demands a professional with substantial experience in managing Linux servers in both physical and virtual settings.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support, administration, and monitoring of Linux systems.
  • Implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems, distinguishing between isolated user issues and broader system problems.
  • Supporting operations and maintenance for end-user workstations, including desktop applications.
  • Collaborating with customers and stakeholders to gather data, analyze incidents, and develop effective solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Developing solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Documenting technical findings and resolutions for root cause analysis and process improvement.
  • Providing on-call support in a 24/7 environment, which may include shift work.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, with additional experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Expertise in system security engineering across various domains.
  • Experience with Linux or UNIX server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with patch management and system administration of Linux operating systems.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • Effective time management and communication skills.

Clearance Requirements
Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph or be willing to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of cloud services and experience in an Agile environment are advantageous.
