Job Summary

As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Catering Department in all aspects, including training new staff, coordinating event setups, and directing temporary personnel. You will ensure exceptional service to clients during events, including proper setup, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all catering events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with the Chef to develop menus that meet client expectations.
  • Train catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
  • Monitor labor and food costs for each event to optimize profitability.
  • Communicate effectively with management, clients, customers, and staff to maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Assist in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities.
Requirements
  • 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
  • Catering experience is required.
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification.
