About the Role

Vireo Health is seeking an experienced and innovative Pharmacy Manager to oversee the dispensing of cannabis-based medications from our Cannabis Patient Centers (CPC). This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a strong leader who can drive results and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense cannabis-based medications based on physician recommendations, ensuring therapeutic incompatibilities are detected and addressed.
• Conduct one-on-one patient consultations to determine the best therapy in conjunction with the recommending provider.
• Work with Patient Care Coordinators and healthcare professionals to provide education and training on the use of cannabis-based medicines.
• Monitor and control medications, advising on interventions and completing dispensary operational requirements.
• Inventory rotation and control, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Provide pharmacological information and counseling to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Precept students from affiliated Schools of Pharmacy.
• Comply with state laws and regulations, maintaining records for controlled substances and supervising support personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
• Pharmacist Skills and Qualifications: Analyzing Information, Administering Medication, Judgment, Verbal Communication, Pharmacology, Managing Processes, Legal Compliance, Productivity, Quality Focus, Attention to Detail.
• Must be willing to work weekend days.
• Management experience preferred.
• Must be licensed pharmacist in good standing with the State of Minnesota.
• Preferred experience in both clinical and retail settings.
• Preferred additional training in CBM.
