Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Department of Mental Health, C. Tucker Nursing Care Center Campus. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, meals, and hygiene. You will also observe, report, and document any changes in residents' condition and/or behavior. This is a full-time position with a 20% supplemental pay for candidates meeting direct-care qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, meals, and hygiene.
• Observe, report, and document any changes in residents' condition and/or behavior.
• Participate in restorative therapies according to care plan and individual needs.
• Participate in Resident Care Conference.
• Assist in guiding and helping residents by working with them in groups and individually, by planning and conducting group meetings, encouraging communication, self-esteem, and socialization.
• Prepare and accompany residents off the unit to clinics/MD visits and activities.
• Perform nursing procedures and care per nursing policies.

Requirements:

• Must hold credentials as a certified nursing assistant.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail, make accurate technical and physical observations of patients, accurately communicate and record observations, carefully read and follow directions, work a flexible schedule, and work in a team environment.
• Ability to tolerate noise level and circulate in resident areas for long periods and work with repetitive, unusual resident behaviors.
