Overview:
As a vital member of the Army National Guard, you will serve as the primary responder to medical emergencies, ensuring the health and safety of both civilians and military personnel.

Role Responsibilities:
In your capacity as a Health Care Specialist, you will be tasked with addressing urgent medical needs following natural disasters and civil disturbances. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing immediate medical assistance to injured individuals in combat scenarios.
  • Supporting both outpatient and inpatient medical care.
  • Conducting training sessions for Soldiers on essential life-saving techniques.
  • Overseeing the medical readiness of Soldiers, including the management of medical supplies and equipment.

Skills Development:
Throughout your training, you will acquire a range of skills that are applicable in both military and civilian medical settings, including:

  • Advanced patient care methodologies.
  • Techniques for casting and immobilizing injuries.

Training and Compensation:
In the Army National Guard, you will receive comprehensive training while earning a competitive salary. Your training will encompass 10 weeks of Basic Training followed by 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), where you will gain hands-on experience in patient care.
