ATV/Motorcycle Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ATV/Motorcycle Technician to join our team at Ron Hoover RV & Marine in Harlingen, TX. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing ATV/Motorcycle problems, communicating with customers and colleagues, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine and diagnose ATV/Motorcycle problems using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools
  • Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor to ensure accurate estimates and efficient repairs
  • Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman to optimize repair time and efficiency
  • Provide labor time estimates to the service advisor to ensure accurate billing and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly to ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on care and operation to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
  • Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs to ensure accurate records and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in mentoring technician trainees to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development
  • Attend company and factory training to stay up-to-date with the latest technical knowledge and procedures
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste) to ensure compliance and customer safety
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
