Cardiovascular Technologist

At Luminis Health, we are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing radiographic procedures, with a focus on cardiovascular anatomy, on patients of all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform radiographic procedures and special diagnostic procedures in a timely manner, consistent with established quality standards and the special needs of patients.
- Enter all pertinent patient information upon completion of procedure and adhere to department policy.
- Participate as a member of a specialized medical team performing catheterization or other procedures to prepare patients for angiography in the electrophysiology suite.
- Conduct daily quality assurance tests on radiological and emergency equipment and record results.
- Ensure proper storage and routing of supplies in the angiography area; monitor supplies and report shortages as required.
- Perform role of monitoring rhythm and hemodynamics and documenting procedure events during routine and emergency cardiac procedures.
- Successful completion of a 2-year radiological technology program in an AMA-approved educational institution, or an Associate's Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
- Two years of experience in a hospital special procedure electrophysiology environment, performing trans-septal procedures.
- Certification in diagnostic radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with current state of Maryland licensure, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).
- American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS; ACLS certification, must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical demands include heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
