We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to join our team at Big Sur Construction LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising construction teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise construction teams to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking team members.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Interpret and execute detailed construction plans and specifications.
- Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, ensuring labor and resources are utilized effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to crew members as needed.
- Monitor job progress, address any issues or delays, and report them to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, good attitudes, and professional behavior among crew members.
- Take direction from upper management and ensure all instructions are carried out accurately and promptly.
- Handle any on-site emergencies or unforeseen issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the Big Sur job site.
- Work Ethic: A good attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- References: Must provide strong professional references.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
