Position Overview
As an integral part of the human resources team, the HR Operations Specialist will oversee a variety of HR functions to ensure effective personnel management and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administers diverse human resources plans and procedures for designated areas; assists in the formulation and execution of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to the establishment of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Oversees the performance evaluation program to ensure effectiveness.
  • Monitors affirmative action initiatives for assigned staff and proactively addresses areas of concern, maintaining necessary records and reports to comply with EEO regulations.
  • Responsible for recruitment efforts within assigned departments; tracks employee career progression and development.
  • Facilitates talent identification processes and succession planning for the designated area.
  • Provides employee relations counseling, outplacement support, and conducts exit interviews.
  • Leads HR discussions during functional staff meetings.
  • Proposes new strategies, policies, and procedures to foster continuous improvement and efficiency across the organization.
  • Ensures adherence to federal and state employment regulations.
  • Develops recommendations for recruitment strategies and systems.
  • Manages the college recruitment process and evaluates its effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with TS standards within the HR function.
  • Supports organization-wide communications and facilitates various events.
  • Assists with staff events, meetings, and other initiatives as required.
  • Processes orders for plant supplies to support various employee initiatives.

Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Proficient in or capable of quickly learning payroll/human resource systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education Requirement
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
