Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for preschool children.
- Help children develop positive interpersonal relationships with peers and adults.
- Assist with child observation and recording progress.
- Supervise and interact with children during indoor/outdoor free flow.
- Help shape positive student behaviors via appropriate strategies and techniques.
- Assist with the preparation of instructional materials for use by small students.
- Maintain records and files, including confidential student records and information.
- Operate equipment and machines necessary to operate the program.
- Function as an appropriate, positive, role model.
- Attend appropriate staff meetings and in-service training.
- May assist with limited English language communication problems.
- Administer routine first aid and request assistance for non-routine injury or illness.
- Assist in maintaining an orderly, attractive, and positive learning environment.
- Participate in parent conferences and other student progress report activities.
