Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join our team at Powell. As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install electrical systems and components, including wiring, cables, and connectors.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure proper functioning of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Work closely with electricians and other technicians to complete projects and ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead a small team of employees to complete specific tasks assigned by lead wireperson and/or supervisor.
  • Perform root cause analysis on engineering changes and correct discrepancies.
  • Install transformer cables and install CTs.
  • Layout and run phase wire (LVSWR).
  • Assist in training employees and complete complex engineering changes.
  • Install Mimic Bus and make Coaxial cable.
  • Perform in-process inspections and create nameplates.
  • Identify and track shortages and assist in processing ship loose.
  • Install communication cables, CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables, fiber optic, and BriteSpot.
  • Terminate and run wire for MCC, SWGR, and harnesses according to wire diagram.
  • Identify part discrepancies and write HFDs for corrections.
  • Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings.
  • Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
Requirements
  • Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of system software (Oracle, MES, True View) to look up parts and drawings.
  • Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.
