Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join our team at Powell. As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and install electrical systems and components, including wiring, cables, and connectors.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure proper functioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Work closely with electricians and other technicians to complete projects and ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Lead a small team of employees to complete specific tasks assigned by lead wireperson and/or supervisor.
- Perform root cause analysis on engineering changes and correct discrepancies.
- Install transformer cables and install CTs.
- Layout and run phase wire (LVSWR).
- Assist in training employees and complete complex engineering changes.
- Install Mimic Bus and make Coaxial cable.
- Perform in-process inspections and create nameplates.
- Identify and track shortages and assist in processing ship loose.
- Install communication cables, CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables, fiber optic, and BriteSpot.
- Terminate and run wire for MCC, SWGR, and harnesses according to wire diagram.
- Identify part discrepancies and write HFDs for corrections.
- Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings.
- Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
- Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of system software (Oracle, MES, True View) to look up parts and drawings.
- Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of Powell product codes.
- Ability to assist in root cause analysis.
