Job Title: CT Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of CT and radiology procedures daily and on call, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical areas of interest, adjusting equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
  • Explain x-ray procedures to patients, positioning them for each anatomical view using positioning assistance devices and protective equipment as necessary.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures.
  • Accurately process images for optimal quality, matching with appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
  • Charge radiographic procedures in, modifying orders per protocol, and demonstrating acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation.
  • Understand and use the Image Archival System, providing education and training to MMH affiliated radiology technology programs, and orienting new technologists.
  • Monitor all unread studies without notes, performing other related duties incidental to the work herein.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology, and ARRT registry in CT preferred, but not required.
  • Must meet Colorado state requirements for the performance of CT scans and be registry eligible.
  • Prefer one year experience, but not mandatory.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography, CT certification within 18 months of employment, and BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to Radiologic exams, excellent communication skills, and ability to stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to lift twenty (20) pounds, and assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. The position requires standing for extended periods, fine motor skills, and visual acuity.
