Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students' communication abilities, including articulation, fluency, voice, and both expressive and receptive language skills, to identify communication challenges and determine eligibility for services.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to share information, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings for eligible students, such as assessments, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and parent consultations, to present findings and develop treatment strategies.
  • Create individualized treatment plans and educational resources aimed at reducing the impact of communication disorders, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Guide students in utilizing assistive communication technologies, including hearing aids and augmentative devices.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including progress reports, treatment plans, and necessary documentation.
  • Engage in professional development through workshops and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Deliver speech and language therapy to students, focusing on improving their communication skills and overall academic success.
  • Seek ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the relevant state.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Adherence to professional standards of practice.
  • Completion of competency programs as required.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • Health assessments as mandated by regulations.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
