Tact Staff is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN for a SICU - Surgical Intensive Care position in a reputable healthcare institution.
Job Description & Requirements- Specialty: SICU - Surgical Intensive Care
- Discipline: RN

- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care, with a strong background in CVICU, SICU, or Neuro ICU. Proficiency in managing ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP is required. The nurse should be comfortable with complex neurological assessments and scales, as well as the management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents.
The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a total staffed bed count of 385. The nurse will be working with a team of experienced professionals and will have access to the latest medical equipment and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the SICU setting
- Manage complex medical conditions, including multi-system organ failure and critical care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations
- Document patient care and outcomes in the electronic medical record
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care
- CVICU, SICU, or Neuro ICU experience required
- Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed
