Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Assistant to join our team at Christus Health. As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharge, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Provide and document ADL care, including bathing, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens.
  • Offer evening care, including back rubs, bed baths, and oral hygiene.
  • Provide general nursing care, such as positioning, transfers, and lifting patients, adhering to best practice and under the scope of the registered nurse's instruction.
  • Answer call lights, anticipate patient needs, and provide hourly rounding and bedside shift report with handoffs.
  • Report complaints about pain immediately to licensed personnel and observe patients' mental and physical conditions, reporting changes to licensed personnel.
  • Maintain patient safety using equipment, clinical skills, communication, and follow Universal Precautions and isolation precautions as directed or per policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • C-BLS certification required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
