Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist

Trinity Health FirstChoice is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to work in our operating room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, including setting up equipment and sterilizing instruments.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program for Surgical Technologist.
  • Preferred Certification: CST (certification requirement directed by local facility).
  • A minimum of 18 months experience is required for CST and/or Associate or Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and to occasionally lift and position patients when preparing patients for operative procedures.
  • Manual dexterity necessary to grasp and hold firmly retractors and delicate surgical instruments.
