Job Description:

The Ballad Health Academy Pathway Advisor position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of students who enter our esteemed academy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students and families, helping them navigate their academic journey and achieve their goals in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recruit students and families for the Ballad Health Academy, providing personalized guidance and support throughout the enrollment process.
  • Travel between assigned schools to monitor student progress, meeting regularly with students and building-level stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information to school officials, including teachers, counselors, and administrators, to facilitate student success.
  • Conceptualize, organize, and lead summer camps to engage students in healthcare-related activities and foster their interest in the field.
  • Assist in developing Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities that expose students to the healthcare industry, promoting hands-on learning and real-world application.
  • Engage in other duties as determined by the needs of the program, working collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals.
  • Stay informed about Tennessee College of Applied Technology and local Community College LPN and RN requirements, as well as 9-12 graduation requirements.
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of disciplines and skill levels, utilizing excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with students, families, and school officials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to advising, counseling, human relations, or a similar field.
  • Experience in primary/secondary and/or post-secondary career counseling is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must possess, or be willing to possess, the Tennessee Industry 4.0 Diploma Distinction career coach credential upon employment.
