Core Responsibilities

Safety

Comprehend and comply with the company's safety work protocols. Implement the Hazardous Work Permit (HWP) process, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), and energy isolation procedures as necessary for both company and contractor personnel. Adhere to the EMOC procedure for any modifications to process and operational protocols. Maintain a tidy and organized site. Conduct safety orientations for contractors.

Reliability

Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP) to execute, document, and enhance equipment maintenance plans. Assist the Zone Production Manager by documenting all corrective actions arising from audits and incident reviews (when applicable). Oversee inventory, including spare parts. Gather data on trends in equipment condition monitoring tasks, such as vibration readings.

Process Management and Efficiency

Support shutdowns, startups, de-rime, and production state transitions for the relevant plants. Apply the Hazardous Work Permit (HWP) process, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), and energy isolation procedures. Diagnose process issues to determine equipment maintenance needs. Execute water treatment responsibilities. Be available for on-call duties and overtime as necessary.

Required Qualifications

Proficient in basic mathematics, including algebra, fractions/percentages, and unit conversions. Competent in personal computer usage. Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities. Self-motivated and proactive. Mechanical aptitude and capability to use basic mechanic's hand tools. Familiarity with wiring and conduit codes and standards. Basic knowledge of electrical hazards and safety, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems with assistance from central engineering. Basic understanding of pneumatically actuated valves and control systems. Knowledge of trip and interlock logic for the protection of personnel and equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including P&IDs and PFDs. Capability to interpret electrical schematics, including single-line diagrams. Proficient in navigating documentation systems to locate relevant work instructions and forms. Competent in completing all preventive maintenance tasks following best practices. Capable of operating a forklift, overhead crane, and/or man lift in accordance with company policy. Reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the plant.

Educational Background

High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in process plant operations or reliability activities. Physically capable of performing all necessary duties, which may include bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting/carrying loads up to 50 lbs. Ability to work at heights exceeding 200 ft above ground level. Valid driver's license. Ability to distinguish between different colors. Capable of passing pre-employment and random drug and background tests while maintaining a clean record.
