Job Overview:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist role at South Shore Health is a unique opportunity to excel in the field of nursing and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

This part-time position offers 24 hours of work per week, with shifts taking place from 3 pm to 11:30 pm. The schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays, which are determined by the unit and subject to change based on business needs.

About the Role:

This Clinical Nurse Specialist will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in the GYN Emerson 4 department. With a focus on delivering exceptional care, you will be responsible for managing individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing, discussing, and communicating prioritized problem lists/plans of care for each patient. This involves initiating admission assessments within eight hours of admissions, identifying and documenting patient/family/significant other teaching needs, and continuing assessment/reassessment to identify care needs.

You will also be accountable for ensuring that patients' levels of comfort are assessed and documented using appropriate pain scales and patient responses to interventions. Additionally, you will work on behalf of patients/families, seeking help when necessary to represent them.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care. A minimum of a Graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing is required, as well as previous acute care RN experience. You must also hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts and have completed BLS certification or be willing to obtain it within a specified timeframe.

Salary and Benefits:
