Job Summary

The Cook is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality meals for patients and patrons of Hunterdon Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meals in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Implement inventory control measures, including labeling and dating products, and communicating low stock items to management.
  • Participate in ordering and receiving vendor orders, and operate essential equipment to perform job duties.
  • Follow portion control guidelines to ensure cost containment and dietary compliance.
  • Contribute to the sanitation of the department, including cleaning service ware and pots, sweeping and mopping, and disposing of trash.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years of customer service or food service experience
  • Able to read and write in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Culinary Training, Associates degree in Foodservice or Bachelors in Foodservice or Nutrition
Work Environment

This role is part of the Hunterdon Health team, working closely with department employees, hospital employees, and vendors.
