Responsibilities:
- Provide superior clinical support, including charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.
- Manage patient flow, prioritizing next operatory rooms and updating doctors on patient status.
- Welcome and greet patients, providing a personal introduction and ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take and process X-rays, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Perform patient hand-offs, ensuring a smooth transition between care providers.
- Enter and update patient treatment plans, utilizing our company's operational system.
- Verify patient satisfaction, taking action to exceed expectations when necessary.
- Escort patients to check-out, ensuring a positive final impression.
- Complete sterilization processes, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor laboratory cases, ensuring readiness for the next day's schedule.
- Maintain emergency kits, first aid supplies, and oxygen tanks, adhering to OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements.
- Follow maintenance schedules for equipment and handpieces, ensuring optimal performance.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, following up to ensure resolution.
- Maintain and update the MSDS binder, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Comply with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
- Maintain and update annual CE requirements, as specified by the state.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Job-related experience: Minimum 1 year, with 5 years or more in dental experience preferred.
- Sedation training preferred.
- State requirements where specified.
- Physical requirements: Mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer systems.
