About the Role

RSM US LLP is seeking a highly skilled Financial Due Diligence Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Transaction Advisory practice, you will play a critical role in helping clients navigate complex financial transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive financial due diligence for clients acquiring businesses, including analyzing financial statements, identifying potential risks, and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in client meetings and site visits, interacting with top-level management to gather pertinent information for financial analysis.
  • Prepare detailed financial analyses to help clients evaluate their acquisition decisions and financing requirements.
  • Utilize various software tools designated by the firm to support financial modeling and analysis.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas of the practice, including tax, audit, and consulting, to provide integrated solutions for clients.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and engagement letters, ensuring clear and concise communication of services and expectations.
  • Represent the firm in community activities and professional associations, promoting RSM's expertise and thought leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in an Audit or Transaction Advisory practice within a national or regional public accounting or consulting firm.
  • Supervision/Team Leadership experience, with a proven track record of directing and managing client engagements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage these tools to support financial analysis and presentation.
  • Ability to travel 25-30% overnight, with flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA certification, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
  • Able to work within tight deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting client expectations.
  • Preferred industry experience in one or more of the following: manufacturing, distribution, retail, healthcare, energy, and technology.
