Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Chico's FAS. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, and maintaining a great store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, and maintain pricing and visual standards.
  • Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and all other duties as directed by Management.
  • Participate in visual directives, including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.

Customer Experience:

  • Model and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns.
  • Ensure a fast and efficient register experience, remaining current on policies regarding payments, coupon acceptance, returns and exchanges, security practices, and other applicable operations.
  • Reinforce buying decisions at the checkout and achieve add-on goals, including gift card sales.
  • Sign up clients for reward programs.
  • Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
  • Know current product fit and style assortment offerings in-store and online.
  • Maintain consistent client communication through utilization of customer books.

Operational Excellence:

  • Support replenishment activities that keep the store full and abundant.
  • Assist with locate fulfillment.
  • Assist with visual directives, including floor sets, window changes, visual presentations, signage placement, etc., as directed.
  • Assist with boutique cleanliness and organization.

Teamwork and Growth:

  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Seek personal developmental opportunities and readily solicit feedback.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate with customers, associates, and management.
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant walking/standing % of 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. - 1-33% of 8-hour shift.
  • Frequent climbing - 34%-66% of 8-hour shift.

Compensation: The wage range for this position is $15.70 to $19.75. Successful candidates' wage rates will be determined based on their individual qualifications for the position. Store associates are eligible for incentive compensation based on factors including store sales, metrics, and trends, as well as budgets and/or other variables based on the position and hours worked.
