Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care to assigned patients. Your primary responsibility will be to follow the established patient treatment plan and administer and monitor treatment as required.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians by charting, documenting treatment regimen, reporting changes in patient's condition, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Collaborate with medical personnel caring for patients, researching and recommending alternative services as needed.
Educate patients on medical conditions and treatment plans, participating in patient follow-up activities.
Order, receive, and store clinic supplies, performing clerical functions as needed.
Perform direct nursing tasks, including taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, and assisting with minor procedures.
Requirements
Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
