Travel Nurse RN: Labor and Delivery Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team as a Labor and Delivery Specialist. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences and needs.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in labor and delivery nursing, preferably in a travel or per diem setting.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
