Job Overview:
We are actively seeking qualified individuals for the role of Paramedic. This position offers a competitive starting wage of $28.70 per hour for a 12-hour shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate each emergency situation to determine the most effective response and protocol.
  • Employ medical tools and techniques, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen delivery systems, intravenous therapy, CPR, and other necessary interventions to deliver advanced medical support.
  • Apply triage skills to ensure optimal efficiency during emergency calls.
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Assist in lifting and transporting patients to ensure they receive the best possible care.
  • Communicate with receiving medical facilities to obtain guidance and relay critical information.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities for scene management and unit operations as required.
  • Operate the ambulance and utilize navigation skills to reduce response times.
  • Maintain all necessary certifications and training requirements.
  • Oversee the condition of the ambulance, ensuring it is clean and adequately stocked for effective response, thereby upholding the image of
    AMR.
  • Accurately document patient care activities and billing information to ensure comprehensive records for each incident.
  • Adhere to policies regarding response times and operational efficiency.
  • Consider patient conditions and insurance preferences when determining transport destinations.
  • Report any incidents involving negative interactions with patients or customers to the on-duty supervisor or account manager without delay.
  • Interpret medication labels and instructions quickly and accurately.
  • Engage in effective communication with patients and their families in various settings to gather necessary information.
  • Observe changes in patient conditions, including skin and eye coloration, to assess their health status.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and other EMS personnel regarding patient status.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid CA Driver's License, Ambulance Driver's License, Medical Examiner's Certificate, California PARAMEDIC license, and CPR certification from the American Heart Association (only valid cards accepted). Completion of required ICS courses is necessary.

Salary Range:
$38.60 per hour, depending on experience (this rate applies to a 12-hour shift and averages 42 hours per week).
