Deli Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a Deli Clerk, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

• Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Food Preparation: Prepare and slice deli meats and cheeses to customer requests using proper deli equipment.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and report any discrepancies to the department manager.
• Food Safety: Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, and displayed in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other deli team members to achieve sales and profit goals, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Math Skills: Have basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Food Safety Certification: Obtain a current food handlers permit once employed.
• Teamwork: Demonstrate a strong ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve team goals.

• Retail Experience: Possess prior retail experience, preferably in a food service or deli environment.
• Second Language: Speak, read, and/or write a second language.
