We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health in Long Island City, NY.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans, utilizing appropriate kV and mA techniques, and adhering to departmental documentation policies. Additionally, they will conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, and follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
  • Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure it is calibrated and operating correctly before any patient study.
  • Administer injections of radioactive material as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol.
  • Adhere to departmental documentation policies by completing all necessary logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, and follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
  • Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
  • Order patientspecific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
  • Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery, ensuring the proper receipt per policy and procedure. Verify activity level before administration.
  • Perform CT procedures following prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
  • Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patients' needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology Department.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of CT experience; Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program.
  • New York State License (L.R.T).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with current CT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • MRI experience is a must-have.
Work Schedule:

4pm-12am, 5x7.50 Hr, with a guaranteed 37.50 hours per week.

Please note that this is a 13-week contract position.
