The Food Runner is responsible for the swift and precise delivery of food orders from the kitchen to our valued guests. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with guest inquiries and support servers as needed.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items and ingredients to guests.
  • Clear tables promptly and efficiently when required.
  • Ensure that food is served at the correct temperature and in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Deliver dishes with accurate descriptions to guests.
  • Maintain open communication with servers regarding guest needs.
  • Relay food orders to the kitchen, paying attention to special requests and priorities.
  • Understand kitchen operations and effectively communicate with front-of-house staff.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate through busy environments while managing multiple tasks.
  • May need to lift food trays or items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and stretch to complete cleaning duties.
  • Requires various physical activities including walking, standing, and visual acuity.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six months experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to prioritize guest interactions while multitasking.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate the needs of others.
  • Positive demeanor and attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Current Food Handler certification is required.
  • Must possess a valid Alcohol Awareness certification.
