What to Expect as an EandM Engineer:

  • Design and implement applications for industrial automation systems.
  • Collaborate with clients from diverse sectors, including wineries and semiconductor firms.
  • Engage with clients regularly on project tasks, service inquiries, and post-implementation support.
  • Work on a variety of projects covering aspects of industrial automation, focusing on manufacturing, distribution, and real-time data transactions.

A Typical Day for an EandM Engineer:

  • Collaborate with a team to develop and deploy real-time control applications for automation systems.
  • Take ownership of various projects while working alongside team members.
  • Participate in client interactions during project reviews and provide ongoing support after implementation.
  • Utilize your expertise in computer systems and software to deliver solutions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities of a Control Systems Engineer:

  • Create detailed functional specifications prior to software development.
  • Develop software for HMIs and PLCs based on functional specifications.
  • Debug software systems, including PLC wiring and control logic.
  • Manage basic project tasks effectively.
  • Document system operations and designs comprehensively.
  • Offer customer support for existing systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and system architecture.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols and networking in industrial contexts.
  • Proficiency in modern PLC Ladder logic programming and textual scripting.
  • Experience with C, C++, and VB is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of collaborative robotics is a plus.
  • Understanding of relational SQL databases and their uses.
  • Experience with Siemens control software/hardware is highly valued.
  • Experience in developing front-end interfaces (HMIs, GUIs) is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others and demonstrate initiative.
  • Professionalism and enthusiasm in your work approach are crucial.
  • A degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
  • Capability to perform computer-related tasks for long durations.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience
