Concrete Batch Assistant


About the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Concrete Batch Assistant to join our team in Western Pennsylvania. This is a critical position responsible for producing high-quality ready-mix concrete and managing the batching process according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Batch concrete using computerized equipment to produce accurately calibrated and consistent mix quality.
  • Inspect materials, ingredients, or products visually or by hand to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Report any deviations from the norm that might impact production, quality, or processing efficiencies.
  • Check inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives, and/or specialized materials and notify suppliers of production needs.
  • Communicate with Dispatch and Transportation departments regarding material delivery and ensure proper crediting to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations related to batch plant equipment operation.
  • Perform daily inspections of facilities and complete maintenance checklists.
  • Operate a front-end loader as needed.
  • Assist with additional assignments as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent and excellent communication skills. You must be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions, be detailed-oriented, and comfortable working with computers.

You should also have the ability to work cooperatively as part of a productive team, work safely and independently without constant supervision, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the Command batch system and/or concrete and admixtures is preferred.


Compensation and Benefits

As a Concrete Batch Assistant at Castle Builders Supply, you will receive an estimated $55,000 - $65,000 per year salary, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and paid time off.
