Job Title

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Youth Hip Hop Dance Specialist to join our team.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading hip hop dance classes for youth between the age of 4-5 years old, fostering a creative, fun, and energetic learning approach while promoting values of respect, team, and passion. Instructors must demonstrate high professionalism, commitment to the community, and ability to motivate, inspire, and educate students.

Duties

  • Leading hip hop dance classes for youth between the age of 4-5 years old.
  • Facilitating classes that follow a social group work model.
  • Managing a classroom of 15-20 students.
  • Preparing for classes: arriving 15 minutes before class start time.
  • Cleaning up: leaving locations in the condition found or cleaner.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with staff and scholars.
  • Following up after classes with NYEG Director of Operations.
  • Maintaining a positive, healthy, safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Candidate should be highly responsible, reliable, punctual, flexible, outspoken, honest, self-motivated, and work with integrity.
  • Candidate should be comfortable working with children and comfortable working independently leading a class of students.
  • Candidate should be a clear communicator, have a positive attitude, and be able to effectively manage a classroom.
  • Candidate should have relevant performance experience.

Estimated Salary

$40,000 - $60,000 per year.
