P & M Steel Company, a leading custom steel fabricator with over 50 years of experience in the industry, is looking for a dedicated Steel Fabrication Specialist to enhance our team.
The Steel Fabrication Specialist is responsible for producing structural steel components, including beams and columns, by utilizing machine shop equipment and welding techniques under the guidance of the Fabrication Supervisor.
Compensation: $20-25 per hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, utilizing knowledge of welding techniques and engineering requirements.
- Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the fabrication supervisor.
- Accurately track time for project cost reporting.
- Communicate progress updates to the fabrication supervisor for effective scheduling.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, adhering to safety regulations.
- Be open to receiving frequent supervision and assistance from the fabrication supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing-related role is preferred.
- Welding Certification is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- An Associate's degree in welding is preferred.
